GERALDTON is a coastal town on the edge of Western Australia, where the Indian Ocean meets red dirt and the sun never really stops.
The SPEEDWAY has been here since 1964, when members of the GERALDTON hot rod club carved a track into the scrub at Moonyoonooka. More than sixty years later it’s still running, still driven by volunteers, still pulling in drivers and families from hundreds of kilometres.
As one driver put it “The people surrounding Geraldton Speedway are some of the most HARDCORE fans in Australia. Whether it’s the drivers, fans or volunteers no one does it better than the Midwest”
Massive thanks to photographer & director Lee Coventry-Walsh who contacted us to collaborate & bring this zine design together. Celebrating all the unsung heroes and the Dust Sweat & Gears that goes into keeping the Speedway culture alive in WA.
